We should thank Murrell for adding to the gaiety of the nation.
He bought the van and never used it, presumably because he couldn't think of a good explanation for Wee Nicola of where the money had come from.

Motorhome - worth £124,550 - was only driven four miles

The lawyer describes how Murrell ordered a new motorhome on 14 October 2020.
Murrell made three separate payments as a deposit with his SNP charge card, and the balance was paid in four direct transfers from the SNP bank account.
It was delivered to an address at an industrial estate, and then driven by Murrell to his mother's address, where it remained until it was seized by police officers on 5 April 2023.
When it was seized, the odometer showed that the vehicle had only ever been driven for four miles.

Re: Tuesday 2nd June 2026
Like most mornings I turned on 6 Music when I got up today. You know, the BBC's alternative radio station for us weirdos and liberal minded degenerates. I think it was only this last weekend when they were playing a playlist of entirely gay/bi or trans musicians. So it grated a bit when it came time for the news and the first thing was an entirely uncritical report on Farage's hate filled statement on that lad's murder. This continued throughout the morning until I'd had enough and turned it off. No balance, no alternative views, nothing, just a verbatim parroting of Farage. On 6 Music. Every half an hour. All morning.
Why are these rich motherfuckers wasting all their money on the likes of GB News when the BBC are doing their job for them for free?

It's genuinely bizarre. I mean I like my coffee but who the hell needs 3 coffee machines worth 6 grand? He also somehow managed to buy a pencil sharpener for £110. Why does such a thing even exist?gilsey wrote: Tue Jun 02, 2026 9:36 am We should thank Murrell for adding to the gaiety of the nation.

It could be worse though. There's an excellent documentary on the iPlayer about drug smuggling in Wales in the 80's. You know how in TV and films they always say to try and remain inconspicuous (don't walk around in a fur coat, etc)? Well one of the gang was driving around Newport on the rural Welsh coast in a white Rolls Royce, wearing a safari suit, paying for pints in the local pubs with £50 notes.
