Another argument for a European Alternative !
Trump's executive order sanctioning Albanese prohibited any American person or entity from providing her with “funds, goods or services” – a description so broad it has been compared to a “civil death”. Her apartment in Washington, bought when she and her family were living in the US capital, has been seized. She can no longer use a credit card anywhere in the world, as almost all such transactions are processed by US-based services. “I go around with cash or I have to borrow from friends or from family members,” she says.

On making an argument, a distinction from down-thread -

" Litigation is a largely value-free exercise which can be won on technical, legal points. Politics is not "
Plus my solicitor friend -- " We dont do Justice, we do the Law", but unlike Starmer she does have her Values

Leeds doesn't have the most impressive skyline but here's the view from my new bedroom nevertheless.
I've never dealt with British Gas before, are they a real company or some surrealist comedy piss take? I only ask because the bloke who was meant to be swapping the account into my name was laughing at his own incompetence over the phone, and then when I tried to rectify his idiocy over a webchat (after getting past the bot) it still didn't help. All they have to do is send me an email so I can verify my own email and sign into the account. After three days I'm still waiting. It's baffling.

Your Party failure shows Scots’ wishes never truly respected

Well worth a read. Lip-service paid to regional autonomy, democratic votes overridden, gross London-centric incompetence leaving Scottish candidates unable to stand in parliamentary elections, the party is dead North of the border.
